Maryburgh residents living close to the railway should be aware that Network Rail will shortly undertake essential improvement works on the line between Inverness and Dingwall, including the section of the line that runs through Maryburgh.

Works will be undertaken on the route between Saturday 18th October until Tuesday 23rd December 2014 from Saturday to Thursday nights (no Friday working).  The hours of work will be between 2300hrs and 0800hrs each night.

This work will involve renewing rails using on track plant, hand tools and temporary lighting.

Network Rail are advising that the equipment that will be used means some disturbance is unavoidable, but they will make every effort to minimise any unnecessary noise.  Furthermore, those working on site are briefed on working responsibly in the local community.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please visit www.networkrail.co.uk or telephone their 24-hour national helpline on 08457 11 41 41.
