Volunteers are needed to help improve and fix up Maryburgh Hall. We are aiming to compile a list of helpers and a name will be drawn from that list to win a family pass for Landmark (2 adults and 2 children).

Your email must also include what tasks you can help with from the list below.  Please include any other skills you can offer if it does not appear amongst the list below. Some jobs need to be done soon, others over the autumn with more jobs likely to be identified. Volunteering days will be arranged in the future, but we are only initially asking for a couple of hours commitment a few times a year.

The Landmark family pass is valid until 28th October 2018. The draw will be made on Monday 30th July, so emails must be received at contact@maryburghhub.info by midday on Sunday 29th July.

This gives the lucky volunteer almost three weeks left of the school holidays to take the family on a day out. Or perhaps save it for their legendary foam weekend at the end of the summer season!

An initial list of jobs are;

Painting walls and doors, internal and external

Gutter repairs on portacabin and large hall

Lag copper pipes

Repairs on portacabin external walls

Maintain handles and hinges on doors for easier movement

Small hall improvements – various tidy up and fix up tasks

Large hall improvements – various tidy up and fix up tasks

Rear store leaking roof replacement/repair

Pruning trees at front of hall

Weeding around the hall footpath areas

Replacement of damaged fittings or fixtures – toilet roll dispensers etc

Insulation and draught proofing in large hall

Repair damaged large hall wall panels

DIY level maintenance tasks

Cleaning tasks
